This is the 12th book in the Cotton Malone series. I like the characters and the quick paced action in the books. This one the story was just a little too out there but I has to be difficult to find those historical oddities and somehow relate them to something that could happen today. The Knights of the Golden Circle, I had never heard of it before, but was a group of Southern gentlemen that formed just before the Civil War. Sounds like a Lions Club, etc almost for the 1850s, with a goal of keeping the Southern life alive. He takes some liberties and extends the life way beyond reality but makes for interesting reading.
I have already posted it on PBS & will be mailing out today. It is a mass market paperback so wanted to keep it moving. It was down to like 10 WL on it.
